Soda Bread

This has proved to be a major success on recent courses, you must try it, it is easy and by mixing your flours and adding nuts or seeds, or even chunks of cheese, you can create lovely bread in under an hour, eat it warm, it is lovely toasted, doesn't keep as well as yeasted bread, but don't let that put you off.

Curry Pastes!

posted 23 Aug 2013, 09:25 by nick.buck147@gmail.com

Curries have been popular on some recent courses, so as promised I am adding two very simple home made curry paste recipes which work very well! One note of caution, they are Jamie Oliver recipes and he clearly loves his chilli heat! I always half the amount of chilli and cayenne pepper and they work well for me! Enjoy!

Chicken Drumsticks

posted 3 Jul 2013, 07:21 by nick.buck147@gmail.com

I used this recipe recently, it worked a treat, is very simple and great for the BBQ season (if we ever get any sun!) Just reduce the oven time by 10 minutes and place on a hot BBQ for that time, giving them a turn to crisp all over! I made this with the value pack of drumsticks, in my local supermarket and it was delicious!

Now It's Time to Bake Bread!

posted 25 Oct 2012, 07:07 by nick.buck147@gmail.com   [ updated 25 Oct 2012, 07:18 ]

You have had the soup recipe now for a simle bread recipe. I am passionate about bread making, it is really simple and so much better for you than anything bought in a supermarket.
Bread has four basic ingredients, Flour, Yeast,Water and Salt, you need nothing more to make delicious bread, supermarket bread can have up to fifteen ingredients! sometimes it can include mould inhibitors! Try making this bread, and if you can avoid eating it all very quickly, simply freeze it as soon as it cools and, then a minute or so on defrost in a microwave or wamed in the oven returns it to 'fresh baked'.

Tried several recipes now and all were great, tasty and healthy too, the result almost a month later is 9 pounds lost! despite eating what seems to be a great deal of tasty food.So I reproduce one of my favourites for you all now, tried on a Joy of Food session and very much enjoyed!
